Escorbuto

The family of the Caprifoliacées is a family of plants Dicotylédone S.

In traditional classification of Cronquist (1981), it includes/understands approximately 420 Espèce S divided into 15 kind S:

  • Abelia, Carlemannia, Diervilla, Dipelta, Heptacodium, Kolkwitzia, Leycesteria, Linnaea, Lonicera, Sambucus, Silvianthus, Symphoricarpos, Triosteum, Viburnum, Weigela .

The phylogenetic classification APG (1998) made burst this family. The kinds Sambucus (elder trees) and Viburnum (viornes) form now part of the Adoxacées. The kinds Carlemannia and Silvianthus train a new family, the Carlemanniacées. Abelia, Dipelta, Kolkwitzia and Linnaea constitutes the family of the Linnaéacées while Diervilla and Weigela forms that of the Diervillacées.

It thus does not remain any more in this family but 220 species divided into 5 kinds:

  • Heptacodium, Leycesteria, Lonicera, Symphoricarpos, Triosteum .

The phylogenetic classification APG II (2003) offers two options

  • strictly speaking: 220 species divided into 5 kinds
  • lato sensu: by including all the plants formerly assigned with the families Diervillacées, Dipsacacées, Linnaéacées, Morinacées and Valérianacées.

They are shrubs, small trees, lianas and more rarely of the herbaceous plants of the zones moderated with tropical (mountains).

In France, this family is represented by the Chèvrefeuille or the Camérisier, both of the kind Lonicera .
