Escarène is a common French, located in the department of the the Alpes-Maritimes and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure. Sometimes spelled Escarène and sometimes called Escarène , its inhabitants are the Escarénois .

In language Occitan E Niçois E (Georges Castellana), the local form Escarea knows also the alternative Escarena employed in Nice. The inhabitants are read Escare (N) ascs (standard traditional) or read Escare (N) asc (standard mistralienne). Scarena is the Italian name commune, official between 1814 and 1860.

• Since the year 2000, “Go of the Alive Organ” are organized each summer to emphasize the historical organ of the Grinda brothers. Several recitals of organ are thus programmed during August and September with the assistance of prestigious organists like Rene Saorgin, Marc Giacone or Henri Pourteau.
