Erwin Huber
Erwin Huber , born on July 26th, 1946 with Reisbach, is a politician Bavarian member of the Christian woman-social Union in Bavaria (CSU). He is minister of state with Finances in the cabinet of Günther Beckstein, and since September 2007 CSU chairs.
Huber posts preserving opinions on social matters, in particular concerning the family policy, and economic material liberal.
Career
Huber enters in 1972 to the assembly of the district of Dingolfing-Pram and in 1978 to the Landtag of Bavaria, functions which it always occupies in 2007.
Within the CSU, he is assistant general secretary of 1987 to 1988, then general secretary of 1988 to 1994. He is since 1988 member of the office of the CSU and since 1993 president of the federation of Low-Bavaria.
In October 1994, it enters the provincial government directed by Edmund Stoiber. It is initially until November 1995 minister of state and director of the Chancellery of State, then until October 1998 minister of state with Finances, before taking again the head of the Chancellery. October 14th, 2003, it in addition takes the wallet of the Relationships to the Federation and the Administrative reform.
With the autumn 2005, when Stoiber is supposed to become federal minister for the Economy in the Cabinet Merkel, Huber is had a presentiment of to succeed to him Munich, beside the Minister of Interior Department Günther Beckstein. Stoiber, finally renonçant to enter the federal cabinet, names Huber minister of state with the Economy, the Infrastructures, Transport and Technology to replace Otto Wiesheu.
January 18th, 2007, Stoiber announces that it will leave its functions with the head of the provincial cabinet and the CSU in September. September 29th, 2007, Huber succeeds Stoiber at the position of president of the CSU with 58,2% of the voices, leaf Horst Seehofer, federal minister for the Agriculture which receives 39% but is re-elected vice-president, and Gabriele Pauli, Landrätin of Fürth which receives 2,5%.
October 16th, it is named minister of state with Finances in the cabinet of the new minister-president, Günther Beckstein.
