Ernie Pike

Ernie Pike is one to defer of fiction of the Cartoon created by the Italian draftsman, Hugo Pratt and the Argentinian scenario writer, Héctor Oesterheld, in 1957.

War correspondent, during the Second world war. He describes in these accounts, the operations which he covers in the Pacifique, the Africa and the Europe. Where, very often, the men appear in actions of braveries as much as to acts of treacheries.

Héctor Oesterheld took as a starting point the reports of the American journalist, Ernest Pyle - killed by the Japanese with Okinawa, the April 18th 1945. Hugo Pratt, drew to defer it to the resemblance of the author of the scenarios. He sometimes put himself at the writing of some episodes.
