Ernie Caceres

Ernesto Ernie Caceres is a Clarinettiste, Saxophoniste (viola, tenor and baritone) American born with Rockport, Texas the November 22nd 1911, died with San Antonio, Texas, on January 10th, 1971). It begins with the Clarinette, then studies the Guitare and the Saxophone

As of 1928, it begins in its area, then constitutes a trio. Installed with Strait and New York, its professional path receives a decisive impulse when it is engaged by Bobby Hackett in 1938, then continues with inter alia Jack Teagarden, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and Woody Hermann

He plays primarily in formations of traditional Jazz, often Dixieland, in televised Shows, then folds up himself in his native Texas and turns over to the darkness.

He is especially known like an aggressive clarinettist on Tempo fast, more lyric in the ballades and with the baritone.
