Ernesto Sabato
Ernest Sabato is a Argentinian writer of origin Albanian Italy and born with Rojas, in the province of Buenos Aires on July 23rd 1911.
Physicist, Novelist, Essay writer and Critical arts person, his work of inspiration mixes realism and metaphysics, where he testifies to the difficulty in living in the modern world, and which is characterized by an astonishing richness.
He is also author of tests sociopolitic ( Sartre against Sartre , 1968) Ernesto Sábato combines a reflection on the world with a powerful creativity. Its influence is remarkable, compared to the limited number of its works.
Biography
After studies of physical sciences and Philosophy where it obtains a Doctorat in physics at the university of Plata, it goes to Paris where it remains two years in the Années 1930, stopped by a short return in Argentine. Two years decisive of the pre-war period during which it carries out a double life: attend the courses with the Sorbonne then works as a researcher in Science S the day, within the prestigious Institut Curie at the sides of Irene and Frederic Joliot-Curie, and becomes Poète the evening with Montparnasse, in surrealist company of the S of which it makes knowledge.
Of return in Argentina, after a passage to the M.l.T of Cambridge (the United States), it continues to undertake work on the Relativité. In 1940 he teaches at the university of Plata. He gives up definitively Sciences in 1945 in order to devote himself exclusively to the literature.
In 1945, he writes literary articles for the newspaper Nación which dissatisfied the mode with Péron and obliges it to leave its post of teacher. He then undertakes the drafting of Uno there el Universo , a collection of reflections and observations on the Politique, the company and the philosophy, in which he deplores the moral neutrality of science. Director during one year of the weekly magazine Mundo argentino , collaborator of various American and European periodicals, it published three novels and of many generally polemical tests.
Named by the government of Raúl Alfonsín, where he is president of the board of inquiry on the people missing in Argentina during the dictatorship (CONADEP), he collects thousands of testimonys of tortures, of removal, rapes and crimes perpetrated by the soldiers and published in Buenos Aires in 1985 in the book Nunca más more.
Reached of a serious eye disease, it ceases writing and is devoted to the Peinture (exposure to the National center of art and culture Georges-Pompidou in 1989). He lives today in Argentina, in the province of Buenos Aires.
Literature
The romantic universe of Sabato will remain marked by these two aspects of its personality.
