Ernesto Pastor

Ernesto Pastor Lavergne , born with Puerto Rico the April 4th 1892, died with Madrid (Spain) the June 12th 1921, was a Porto Rican Matador.

Presentation

He goes to the Mexico there whereas he is very young and discovers his vocation for art taurin. He begins in public the January 16th 1911 with Guadalajara (Mexico, state of Jalisco). He goes to Spain and is presented in the form of a Novillero to Madrid on September 1st 1918 to the sides of García Reyes, “Carnicerito” and El Salvador Freg, vis-a-vis novillos of the Ganadería of Terrones.

He takes the alternate with Oviedo (Spain, principality of Asturies) the September 17th 1919, with like godfather “Joselito” and like witness Domingo González Mateos “Dominguín””, vis-a-vis bulls of the ganadería of gift Vicente Martínez.

He was regarded by his contemporaries as elegant, as well with the Capote as with the Muleta and estoquait with skill.

The June 5th 1921, in the Arenas of Madrid, it is seriously wounded by the bull “Bellotero” of the Ganadería of Villagodio. He dies in Madrid the 12 of the same month.
