Ernest and Alfred Solvay

Ernest and Alfred Solvay , creators of the industry of soda to the Ammonium and founders of the company Solvay in 1863, was born with Rebecq in province from the Walloon Brabant and marked of their print the history of this village.

The native house of Solvay is with the street of the Salt makers with Rebecq. The Monument located on the Town square of the locality was set up in 1938 with the memory of the Frères Solvay.
