Eritrean Airlines

Eritrean Airlines (Code AITA: B8 ; Code ICAO: ERT ) is a Airline company financed by the government of the Érythrée, created in 1991 at the time of the independence of the country.

A long time, it had only the name of an airline company because it carried out only operations on the ground (Handling) - only agent of handling to the international airport of Asmara and Assab and Massawa)) and of the business transactions for the other companies which served the Erythrée. The expansion of the occupations of the company to the flights was decided at the time of a workshop of work which was held with Asmara in May 2002.

In April 2003, Eritrean Airlines took delivery of its first 767-300ER (extended arranges) in preparation for these new occupations which were going to begin. Eritrean Airlines, code IATA B8 and member of IATA, operate momentary flights and regular cargo liners since its seat in Erythrée with Asmara towards Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan and Nairobi, with more destinations with being added in the future. Eritrean Airlines has cooperation agreements with SAS, KLM, Delta Air Lines and Kenya Airways.
