Erik Truffaz
Erik Truffaz (born in 1960) is a Swiss Trompettiste of Jazz.
After a first relatively unperceived album passed, it is the minis The Dawn which reveal Erik Truffaz with the general public. Its style often evokes that of Miles Davis, and for this reason one often describes it as epigone of this last. However the music of Erik Truffaz is an interbreeding of the kinds. Resting on rhythmic a Drum & low, the pieces oscillate between the sonority felted of the trumpet of Truffaz and the anglophone Rap of the singer Nya invited on the album. The formula will be confirmed on the following album Bending new corners which confirms the success of the formula. The walk off the giant turtle watch an orientation more Rock'n'roll, with in particular a more important role left with the low electric nervous of Marcello Giuliani and with the power of touched Marc Erbetta.
Its popularity and its recognition are concretized by an album electro: Erik Truffaz revisited left in 2001 on which one finds several of the titles of his preceding albums taken again by various artists.
Erik Truffaz is generally accompanied by the following musicians:
- Marc Erbetta (battery)
- Philippe Garcia alias " Captain Planet" (battery, parlophone)
- Marcello Giuliani (low Guitar)
- Michel Benita (Double bass)
- Manu Codjia (Guitar)
