Erik Christensen

Erik Christensen (born the December 17th 1983 with Edmonton in the Alberta) is a professional player of Hockey in North America.

Career in club

Christensen was chosen by the Penguins de Pittsburgh in 2002 with the third turn of the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey.

Previously, it evolved/moved in the Western Hockey League with the Blazers of Kamloops with variable results according to the seasons: in 2002-03, it marks 54 goals and 108 points in 67 matches (better results of the season) and gains the Trophée Bob Clarke whereas the season according to it does not happen that at 24 points including 10 goals in 29 matches. It then joined the Wheat Kings de Brandon where it will play better without reaching the scores of the last season.

At the end of the season 2003-04, Penguins sign a contract with Christensen and choose not to align it immediately but to send it to play with the Penguins de Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the American Ligue of hockey.

During the Season LNH 2005-06, it is called to play with Penguins of the LNH because of a great number of wounds in manpower. It marks its first goal in the league against the Islanders of New York on November 3rd, 2005.

For the season 2006-07, it begins the season with the frankness from LAH but is called to play against the Bruins of Boston on November 22nd because of a wound of Sidney Crosby. With the return of Crosby, it keeps all the same its place and with the team 2006-07 of Penguins, they arrive for the first time to the eliminatory Séries since 2002 but they lose with the first turn against the Senators d' Ottawa.
