Erich Kähler
Erich Kähler (January 16th 1906 - May 31st 2000) was a German Mathématicien with interests geometrical very vast.
He was born with Leipzig and made his studies there. He was professor with Königsberg, Leipzig, Berlin and Hamburg. Later in its life, it was interested in philosophy.
As mathematician, it is known for various results: the Theorem of Cartan-Kähler on the singular solutions of the non-linear analytical differential connections; the Metric idea of kählerienne on the complex varieties; and the differential of Kähler, which give a purely algebraic theory and lagement were lagement adopted in algebraic Géométrie. In all this, the concept of differential Forme plays a central role and Kähler was one of the large actors of the development of this theory since its creation by Elie Cartan.
He also worked on the Celestial mechanics . He was one of the precursors of the theory of the diagrams, but its ideas on the subject were not spread.
