Eric Woerth

Biography

He is a former student of HEC Paris and Institut of political studies of Paris (Sciences Po). He was leading cabinet Arthur Andersen where he specialized in the audit of companies. He will give up his career in the private one as from 2002, when he assumes the financial management of the presidential campaign of Jacques Chirac.

Political career

Starting from 1993, he was finance manager and administrative RPR. Starting from 1995, he becomes parliamentary adviser of the Prime Minister Alain Juppe of which it remained near.

Éric Woerth is the founder and first president of the Club of the compass, which gathers thirty-eight deputies UMP “reformists” having sworn fidelity with the president of the Republic Jacques Chirac and with the Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin. From June 16th, 2002 to March 31st, 2004, he is elected appointed in the 4th district of the Oise. At the time of its entry to the Government Jean-Pierre Raffarin (3), it is compensated starting from April 2004 in its function of deputy by Christian Patria (farmer in the area of Senlis). After its exit of the government, it finds its seat of deputy on September 19th, 2005.

Ministerial career

He was Secretary of State of the reform of the State during the Gouvernement Jean-Pierre Raffarin (3) from March 31st, 2004 to May 31st, 2005.
