Eric Sykes , born the May 4th 1923 with Oldham, is a Acteur, Scénariste and British Réalisateur , known mainly for its very many roles in British comedies during its first 50 years.

In addition to being vis-a-vis the scene, Sykes was also with the radio during the Années 1950.

Biography

The career of Sykes in the cinema started in an special unit of Ultra in the Royal Air Force, during the Second world war, where he worked with the lieutenant Bill Fraser.

It also helped Spike Milligan, after the Dépression of this last, in The Goon Show. He collaborated aec him on a special radio program called archie in Goonland which is mixed one of The Goon Show and Educating archie with Peter Brough. It was however not a success and several scripts were even destroyed.

During the Years 1980, Sykes visited the Australia with the play Run for Your Wife, with Jack Smethurst, David McCallum and Katy Manning.

Thereafter, it will become partially deaf following a disease which it caught, being adult, which is a symptom of the macular Syndrome, a condition which had with its age (And perhaps due Tabagisme), which caused him a loss of partial sight; it is registered like blind man. In 2005, it was promoted commander of the Ordre of the British Empire for its talents of Dramatic art.

The February 14th 1952, Sykes Maria with Edith Eleanore, with which it had 3 girls of which the actresses Julie Sykes and Kathy Sykes, as well as a son. He is also the grandfather of the actor Matt Stronge.
