Eric II of Norway

Eirik II Presthatar of Norway (the Enemy of the priests) (1268 - 1299) king de Norvège of 1280 with 1299

Eirik II of Norway had been named by his/her father Magnus VI of Norway Co-regent of the kingdom as of 1273. It succeeded this last in 1280. Its nickname is related to the conflicts violent one which opposed it to the church.

He died without wire with Bergen the July 13rd 1299 and the throne returned to his/her younger brother Håkon V of Norway which had been named duke by their father as of 1280.

Eirik II of Norway married two Scottish princesses :

  1. on September 1st 1281: Marguerite of Scotland girl of Alexandre III of dead Scotland on April 9th 1283 after having given rise to a girl:

  1. on September 25th 1293: Isabelle Bruce girl of Robert Bruce count de Carrick of which a second girl

  • Ingeborg Eriksdatter born in 1297 died towards 1353 married in 1312 with Valdemar Magnusson duke of Finland
