Eric Håkonsson
Eric Håkonarson (Eiríkr Hákonarson), born towards 963 and deceased towards 1024), was a Jarl governor of Norway of 1000 with 1015.
He is the son of Håkon Sigurdsson, Jarl de Hladir, and of a concubine. Its paternal family, originating in the Trondelag, is traditionally opposed to the capacity of kings de Norvège and fact alliance with the Danes. After the Bataille of Svolder It controls Norway with the title of jarl on behalf of the king Sven Ier of Denmark from which it married a Gyda girl. In 1015 it leaves the government of the Norway to his/her brother Svein Håkonsson and takes part in the Danish conquest of England where it obtains the title of Count de Northumbrie. He dies about 1023.
He leaves a son Håkon Eiriksson.
