Eric Beynon
Eric Beynon was born with Geneva in 1935; it follows studies of Art to the school of Beautiful arts and Arts Decorative in this city before being invited in Germany, to the academy of Beautiful arts of Karlsruhe to follow courses of Erich Heckel (Brücke) and then to the Folkwangschule to Essen.
After a short stay in its town of origin to the the United Nations as graphic designer it gains Paris where it installs and will remain approximately 40 years.
As of its arrival in Paris it exposes with the principal artists of the moment in the galleries Drouain, Fachetti and Stadler and obtains the Lissone price in Italy (2nd price, 1st price Georges Matthieu).
Built Assemblies of big size which will be quickly exposed with the Stadler Gallery and the Gallery Bertha Schäfer New York like with the great exposure of Maminy on the assembly, like in Dallas and San Francisco.
Pierre Restany convinces it to expose new works close to the new realism and meets Spoerri and Tinguely, as Niki de Saint-Phalle of which it organizes with Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns the technical side of his first exposure to the J.Expose Gallery briefly in this Gallery.
Contacted by Gerard Talabot, takes part has Daily Mythologie with the Museum of Modern art Paris and exposes photographic fabrics painted and then of printed works of large size on vinyl fabrics from which some drawn in 50 specimens dispersed thereafter on the European market and in certain collections, the trace being lost since this date, except a short appearance in Italy.
