Ergotamine

The ergotamine is a Alcaloïde of the family of the Ergoline naturally present in some Champignon S like the Ergot of rye. The ergotamine is listed in table I of the Convention against the illicit traffic of narcotics and psychotropic substances of 1988.
The ergotamine was insulated in 1918 by Arthur Stoll and will be the first therapeutic use of alkaloid isolated from the family of the ergoline. She finds then rapidementune place in the pharmacopeia like anti-hemorrhagic in obstetrics and against the migraines in a more general way.
The tartrate of ergotamine is a Médicament Analgésique prescribes at the time of crisis of Migraine.
