Ercé-près-Liffré

Ercé close Liffré is a common French, located in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine and the area Brittany. Its inhabitants is called Ercéens.

Geography

In the middle of the department of Ille-et-Vilaine, the commune of Ercé-près-Liffré is located at a little more than 20 kilometers at the North-East of the town of Rennes, between the Autoroute A84 (Autoroute of the Estuaries) and the RN 175, route d' Antrain. It is a rural district which extends on 1578 hectares in the center from a forest unit composed by the national forests of Rennes (in the south), of Saint-Aubin-of-Cormier the (in the North-East) and of Liffré (in south-east). The communal territory is undulating. It is crossed of is in west by the valley of Illet.

History

The presence of the men on the territory of Ercé is attested as of the Neolithic time (as of 9000 before J-C.). Indeed, of the Mégalithes are still visible with the Low-Rock today.
