Era Mèla Mèla

Era Mèla Mèla , is a disc worship of the Ethiopian singer Mahmoud Ahmed, one of the leaders of the Afro jazz and Éthio-Jazz.

This album published for the first time in 1975 in Ethiopia was published in Belgium in 1986, then republished in the collection Éthiopiques of the French label Buda Musique in 1999. Erè Mèla Mèla is actually a groove in two parts ( Erè Mèla Mèla and Mètché Nèw ) of more than seven minutes, based on an air Ethiopian traditional melancholic person of a love song. This song was also taken again and adapted by other Ethiopian singers.

The air of Erè Mèla Mèla is probably one of most known universally of the Éthio-Jazz.
