The team of New Zealand of hockey is the national selection of the New Zealand gathering the best players of Hockey New Zealand at the time of international competitions. The team is under the supervision of the New Zealand Fédération of hockey. The team is at present classified 39 {{E}} in the world by the International federation of hockey (2006).

History and prize list

The first participation of the male team in the championship of the world goes back to the edition of 1987 with Perth in New Zealand.

1987 - third place of division C
1989 - fifth place of division D

Between 1989 and 1995, New Zealand does not introduce a team to the championship of the world.
