History

The New Zealand took part only in only one final stage of World cup, in 1982. It obtained its qualification by preceding its large rival, the Australia, after having in particular corrected the Îles Fiji (13-0). During the final stage in Spain, the New Zealanders lose their three meetings against the Scotland (5-2), the the USSR (3-0) and the Brésil (4-0).
