The team of Lapland of football is a not internationally recognized selection. It represents the Lappish ones which lives in the north parts of the Norway, Sweden, Finland and of the Russia. Being non-member of FIFA, nor of UEFA and thus does not take part in the great international tournaments. This selection disputed several matches since 1985, but only one against a national team: Estonia. The goal of the Federation of Lapland of football, which controls the team is to obtain an official statute. Since 2003, they are members of NF Board.
