The May 5th 1998, Aimé Jacquet announces a list of 28 players. Jules is the Mascotte of the team of France of football.

It is about a capped white cock of a red beret and vêtu of the blue shirt of the team of France. Its tail is made up of a blue feather, followed by a white feather, which itself is followed of a red feather.

Its first name comes from that of Jules Rimet, the creator of the world cup. The mascot had been imagined for the Football world cup of 1994, but the project had been suspended because of the elimination of France at the time of the qualifications.

Preparation

12, July 13rd, 14th and th 1998

July 12th

With 22:54, the referee whistles the end of the match and the team of France is crowned world champion. Thierry Roland, commentator tele of the match, declares " on line; I believe that after having seen that, one can die quiet! Lastly, the latest possible. Ah! it is superb! What a foot! Oh whore! ". July 13rd, the Blue ones try to go up in the bus with imperial the Fields-Élysées on board a bus. There is a little more than 500.000 people. The density of crowd obliges to shorten this increase.

July 14th

The Blue ones are invited to the garden-party of July 14th to the Elys3ee palace. They are decorated there with the Légion of honor.
