The team of Bielorussia of hockey is the national selection of Bielorussia gathering the best Belorusse players of Hockey at the time of international competitions. The team is under the supervision of the Belorusse Fédération of hockey ( ФэдэрацыяхакеяРэспублікіБеларусь ). The team is classified at present 10th in the world by IIHF (2005). The best performance of the team in international competition was in 2002, whereas the team finished with the 4th rank, following the surprised elimination of the Équipe of Sweden of hockey thanks to a goal of Vladimir Kopat. Latvia counts 2850 hockey players (0,02% of its population).
