The team of Argentina of female football is the national team which represents the Argentine in the major competitions of female Football: the Football world cup female, the Olympic Games of summer and the Sudamericano Femenino. It is under the aegis of the Fédération of Argentina of football, member of FIFA and CONMEBOL.
The Argentinian selection belongs to the two nations which dominate the South American continent with the Brésil. Qualified at the time of the two last editions of the World cups, she never managed to cross the first turn, on the other hand in Sudamericano Femenino, she is the first selection to have beaten Brazil at the time of the finale of the edition 2007 and took down there her only title in an international competition. History
Argentina disputes its first international match at the time of a friendly meeting against the Chile the December 3rd 1993 with Santiago with a victory 3-2. Two years later, it takes part in its first international competition at the time of the Sudamericano Femenino 1995, it finishes finalist of the competition behind the Brésil and positions like second strong nation of the South American continent.
