Equation of Antoine

In chemistry, the equation of Antoine connects the Température of saturation and the Steam pressure saturating with a substance:

\ log_ {10} (P_s^o) = Has \ frac {B} {T+C}

with P_s^o Pressure of vaporization of the substance at the temperature T.

A, B and C are the coefficients of Antoine, characteristics to each solution, which one finds in the reference books in chemistry.

By isolating the temperature one obtains:

T_s = \ frac {B} {Has \ log_ {10} (P)}- C

who allows us to envisage with which temperature will boil a solution with a certain pressure, the atmospheric pressure for example (100 kPa, 760 mmHg,…)

For water the coefficients of Antoine with the pressure out of Pa and the temperature in °C are:

A=10,23

B=1750

C=235
