Epistemology of medicine

The epistemology of the Medicine or medical epistemology is a reflection on medical science, i.e. on the scientific part (medical Connaissance) of the medicine which is at the same time a Science and a Pratique (Praxis).

Medical epistemology is interested in construction of medical knowledge (medical ontology) and on the process of emergence, evolution and disappearance of the medical entities: diseases, lesions, clinical signs, syndromes clinical…

It is also about the delimitation within the Médecine between a scientific Médecine and a nonconventional Médecine (or Alternative medicine).
