Imago:

Body: from 6 to 10 mm
Cerque S: ♂ 8 to 12 mm, ♀ 7 to 9 mm
Wings: ♂ 6 to 10 mm, ♀ 8 to 12 mm

Ephemerella notata is maroon clear at its stage Subimago (wings and body) and yellow-orange at the stage of Imago (with transparent wings and not " bleues" like his/her cousin Ephemerella ignita ).

On the rivers of Western Europe.

In May and June.
