Epesses

Epesses is a common Suisse of the Canton of Vaud, located in the District of Lavaux.

Geography

Epesses is at the edge of the Lac Léman, between Lausanne and Vevey.

Anecdote

In the canton of Vaud one calls the mayor of a commune a “syndic” because of the commune of Epesses. Indeed, the title “mayor of Epesses” hardly returns honor to its carrier.

Vine growing

The vineyard of Epesses is known and famous for its white wines.

Beach

The beach of Epesses, between Lausanne and Vevey is attended by the naturists, although the municipality is opposite there.
