Epalinges

Epalinges is a common Suisse of the Canton of Vaud, located in the District of Lausanne.

Although Epalinges belongs to the circle of Romanel, it is not contiguous with any of the three other communes of this district.

One of its characteristics is indeed to be almost entirely wedged in Lausanne.

Epalinges was created, probably at the beginning of the last millenium, by successive clearings on the forest joratoise.

Epalinges accommodates ISREC, the Swiss Institute of Experimental Research on Cancer, a deprived foundation with nonlucrative goal founded in 1964.
