Epacris
Epacris is one from 35 to 40 species of plants with flowers of the family of the Ericaceae .
The kind is originating in Australia (is and south-eastern Queensland, south of the Tasmanie, west until the south-east of the southernmost Australia), New Caledonia and New Zealand.
The majority of these species are small bushes from 0,2 to 1,5 m in height with some larger species like Epacris heteronema and Epacris microphylla which can reach 2,5 m in height. One finds them in the underwoods.
Epacris impressa is the floral emblême of the State of Victoria.
