Environment off Evolutionary Adaptedness
Environment of the evolutionary adaptation (Abbreviation: EEA ): environment which prevailed during the selection process évolutionnaire of a species. In evolutionary Psychologie in connection with the mankind is especially used.
The Humaine line lived most of its existence to the Pléistocène, in an environment of hunters/gatherers, the cities and civilization having appeared only very recently (less than 15.000 years). One calls EEA the environment known by the human ones for this period.
Remarks
- the concept of the EEA is rather fuzzy: it refers with what existed before civilization, and not to a precise and well defined environment. In the facts, the EEA was not the same one for the populations living in Africa as for those alive in the European Toundra.
- the world in which we live now is very different from the EEA known by the mankind: there is Mismatch.
