Entwine

Entwine is a group of gothic doom Finnish formed in 1995 with Lahti.

History

Entwine had been in an original manner assembled as a group of Death metal, in 1995, by guitarist/singer Tom Mikkola, beater Aki Hanttu, and bass player Teppo Taipale. In 1997, they decided to change the musical style of Entwine into gothic doom and the guitarist/singer Panu Willmann was added with the team very shortly after. In December 1997, Entwine records its first demonstration, called Divine Infinity . In February 1998, the singer and inputter Riitta Heikkonen joined the group.

The first album of Entwine - called Treasures Within Hearts - leaves in September 1999. In April 2000, the Willmanns and Taipale leave the group, and this last is replaced by Joni Miettinen. The singer Mika Tauriainen returns in the group the next month.

The following album of the group is called Gone , and leaves in April 2001. It receives the reward of l' Album of the Month on behalf of the German magazine Hammer and the song " New Dawn" return in one of the first 10 positions of the Finnish classifications individual.

Jaani Kähkönen joined the group as a guitarist of round in at the end of 2001, but quickly became a permanent member of Entwine. In at the beginning of 2002, the group records its third album, Time off Despair , which was produced by Anssi Kippo. Entwine then made a round in Europe with Theater off Tragedy and RAM-Zet to promote their album.

In 2003, Entwine records its fourth album, diEversity , which leaves in March 2004. This album showed an evolution of the sound of the group, giving up some of the roots Gothic S and being inclined towards a heavier style.

Entwine leaves in 2005 a EP containing five tracks, heading Sliver .

In August 2006, Entwine leaves their fifth album called Fatal Design and makes a round in Europe with the German group Zeraphine.

December 8th, 2006, the inputter Riitta Heikkonen announces his departure of the group by calling upon personal reasons. No replacement is planned for the moment. Blabbermouth
