Entremont

History

The Entremont company was taken again in 1948, with Annecy, in Haute-Savoie by their children Francois, Marius and Edouard Entremont. Their company transforms milk (raw material) into cheese (end product), it particularly manufactures a emmental with “cooked pressed paste”. Later, this one increases and the three brothers extend their activity in the east of France and the large-west, particularly in Brittany where there is a strong dairy production. At the present time, the company has four production sites in Brittany: Montauban-of-Brittany, Méen-the-large St, Malestroit and Quimper. The National company with Wallet (CNP) has 100% of the shares of the group.

Presentation

The Entremont group is one of the great industrial sites of the secondary industry. The group employs more than 4000 people on the whole of France. It is a joint stock company simplified (S.A.S.) with the capital of 21.541 008 € and with a sales turnover in 2001 of 1218 million Euros including 35% with export. It is the world number one of cheese with cooked pressed paste. The Entremont group has several marks in various areas of France and country (Gold Grinding stone, Juragruyère, Wildberg). The group has several subsidiary companies in particular Euroserum.

UNICOPA

History

Unicopa, co-operative Breton created in 1960 includes/understands several branches of sectors: animal nutritions, several co-operatives, of the slaughter-houses and in particular a dairy branch which is important in France.

Presentation

Unicopa falls under a policy of export from where the share high of its activity carried out with export with a turnover of 1480 million euros. The dairy section of this company from now on is attached to Entremont which forms the group Entremont Alliance. The group has several subsidiary companies in particular Cofranlait.

Entremont Alliance collects 2,2 billion liters of milk near 9000 producers and, with more than 4000 employees, manufactures and markets 195  000 tons of cheeses (Emmenthaler cheese, County, scraper, Beaufort, cheese spreads), 65  000 tons of dairy powders, 250  000 tons of powder of whey and formulated dairy products, for a total turnover of 1,7 billion euros. Structure

The National company with wallet (CNP) directed by Albert Frère holds 63,5  % of the group Entremont Alliance and group UNICOPA has 36,5  to him; %. Totality is managed by UNIFEM. The president of the group is Christian Mazuray (managing director Industrial product cheese spreads). The delegate Frederic Pouchain is charged with the commercial organization of Entremont Alliance when in Remy Letienne, it is affected with the external relations. André Rousset (Directing finances and administration) is permanent with the seat.
