Entrammes is a common French, located in the department of the Mayenne and the area Pays of the Loire.

Geography

Entrammes is located at 10km in the south of Laval at the edge of N162.

History

The agglomeration of Entrammes was created thanks to a very important ford on the Mayenne. The road which led Mans to Rennes passed by this ford. Thanks to this ford initially important a oppidum Gallic of 55 hectares created for itself (vastest known in the area); it was occupied as of Ier century before JC. It would be thus this ford which would be at the origin of the Gallo-Roman agglomeration of InterAmnes , Gallo-Roman name of Entrammes, which means “between water” because Entrammes is located between 3 rivers: the Mayenne, the Jouanne and the Ouette.

  • Thermal baths Gallo-Romans: Discovered in 1987, the thermal baths of Entrammes are in an excellent state of conservation. The 4 parts there are found: cold baths, tepid part, drying oven, baths hot as well as superb structures! The visit of the Gallo-Romans Thermal baths is consitituée of a very good assembly its and light adpaté with small and large.
