Entertainment Weekly
Entertainment Weekly (sometimes shortened in EW ) is a Magazine published by Time Inc. with the the United States which covers the fields of the cinema, television, the music, the productions of Broadway, the books and the Popular culture in general.
Contrary to Us Weekly , People and In Touch Weekly , the main theme approached by EW is the entertainment and criticisms. If Variety and The Hollywood Reporter is addressed to public initiates of this industry, EW targets public the broader, particularly the young people and the women.
The first edition of Entertainment Weekly was published in 1990 and had as a cover K.d. Lang. The word " entertainment" present in the title did not appear on the cover until mid- 1992 and remained since. In 2003, the average of its weekly sales were about 1.700.000 specimens.
In March 2006, editor association Rick Tetzeli supervised the " lifting" of EW to make an aspect more modern to the title.
The Web site, launched in 1998 and managed by Jay Woodruff, daily publishes contents, vidéos and exclusivenesses. It is used also basic as data of files of the preceding interviews, platforms and photographs of the paper medium.
