Action, means of recreating or of amusing, of being recreated or of having fun.
The entertainments make it possible to the men to occupy their spare time while having fun. Often pleasant, an entertainment makes it possible to make forget a few moments worries of the daily life. To divert itself is not therefore a completely useless aspect of the life, indeed, the distractions can enable us to improve our culture, our social life or our physical shape.
Indeed, certain entertainments are subsets of the culture, or sport or social life.
One speaks about subsets because the reverse is not true. For example, the reading of a dictionary, the visit of a museum, the musculation, the school, a meeting are too seldom regarded as recreations to be called entertainments.
