Entertainment!
Entertainment! is the first album of the group Post-punk Britannique Gang off Furnace. It is appeared on EMI in England in 1979 and on Warner Bros. in the United States the following year.
With Entertainment! , Gang off Furnace introduced for the first time its mixture of Punk rock'n'roll and Funk, rather unusual for the time, but also divided by some of its contemporaries, for example Public Image Ltd. and Father Ubu. The low is mixed differently that of habit: having often precedence of the other instruments, it is responsible for the aspect very rate/rhythm of the compositions of the group, a sound which influenced many groups of the following decades, in spite of a rather at the time restricted business success.
The bass player Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of the musicians having admitted the great influence of Gang off Furnace and their first album on his own musical step.
The song At Home He' S.A. Tourist reached Signal 40 in England.

Small pocket
The political aspect is indissociable music of Gang off Furnace, and this tendency to committed and radical remarks appears as of this first album, announced by the small pocket, on which a Indien of America and a Cowboy exchange a handshake in three identical images on red bottom. One can read around the images the following legend: “ The Indian spalling hammers, He thinks that the cowboy is his friend. The cowboy spalling hammers, He is glad the Indian is fooled. Now He edge exploit him. ”, or in French: “The Indian smiles, it thinks that the cowboy is his friend. The cowboy smiles, it is happy that Indian was deceived. Now it can exploit it. ”
Interpretation
Alienation is one of the prevalent terms of the album Entertainment! . It frequently returns on Natural' S Not In It , At Home He' S.A. Tourist and Damaged Goods .The part which finishes the disc, Anthrax (named in an original manner Love Like Anthrax before the title is shortened for the album), is one of the most famous parts of Gang off Furnace. Regarded as a anti-song of love, it begin with long a one minute distortion, then, whereas Jon King sings, the guitarist Andy Gill reads (a little with the manner Spoken Word ) a proclamation about the love. The two votes mix and the refrain rules that the love is as “ has box off carbuncle, and that' S something I don' T wanna wrestling ” (like a case of carbuncle, and it is something which I do not want to catch).
On Ether , the group affirms its opposition to the presence of England in Northern Ireland.
