Enguerrand Quarton

Enguerrand Quarton (Laon, towards 1415 - Avignon, 1466) is a medieval painter French late. He worked in Provence (Aix-en-Provence, Arles, then Avignon) where he excuté tables, Retable S and illuminations. In its work, faces, individualized, and the landscapes evoke the influence of Flemish art.

• the Crowning of the Virgin , 1453 (crypt of the Trinity, Villeneuve-the-Avignon)
• the Pietà of Villeneuve-the-Avignon , towards 1455 (Museum of Louvre, Paris).
