English jamaïcain

The English jamaïcain is a Dialecte English composed of the dialects American English and British English. One uses more the British what does not exclude American.

Although the distinction between the two languages are described better like a continum more than one solid line, it should not be confused with what the linguists call the Créole jamaïcain, nor with the vocabulary and the language used by the movement rastafari. The jamaïcain is generally regarded as creole .
