English in Europe

In Europe, the English is mainly the Native tongue inhabitants of the the United Kingdom (i.e. the England, the Scotland, the Wales and the Northern Ireland), the Irish Republic and the Dépendances of the Crown. In more restricted way, English is also the official language of Gibraltar (which belongs to current the British colonies) and of Malta (old colony). In Europe, English is also spoken by certain a part of the population of Cyprus (old colony) and in a more random way in other places of Europe where english-speaking are expatriates. English is also spoken by those which learned it like secondary language.
