English Restoration

The English Restauration ( English Restoration , or sometimes simply Restoration in English) is an episode of the Histoire of England beginning in 1660 when the Monarchie was restored under the reign of Charles II of England, after the First revolution English and the English Interrègne. The term of Restauration can indicate the events having led to the return of the king, but also the period immediately following the accession to the capacity of Charles II.
The period of the Restoration is completed with the end of the dynasty of Stuarts and the bursting of the Glorieuse Revolution, in 1688. It is characterized by a plentiful mental activity: the Literature of the English Restoration, in particular, shines by its innovation and its diversity.
