English Interregnum

The Interrègne English is one period of the government of the République after the First revolution English, between the Régicide of Charles 1 {{er}} in 1649 and the Restauration of Charles II in 1660.

This period can be divided into four.

1. 1649 with 1653: the first period of the the Commonwealth of England

2. 1653 with 1659: the Protectorate under Oliver Cromwell
3. 1659: the Protectorate under Richard Cromwell
4. 1659 with 1660: the second period of the Commonwealth of England
