Engineering without borders

Ingénierie without borders ( STF ) is a project which exists since 1991. This group, composed of genious students of the University of Sherbrooke, organizes each year a mission of international economic development in various countries in emergence. She in particular visited the China, the Mexico, the Argentine, the Brésil, the Malaysia and the South Africa. This corporation aims to come out of economic development assistance from SME from the Quebec by the growth from its notoriety abroad and by promotion from its competences on the international scene.

Brazil 2006

In 2006, the delegation of Ingénierie without borders is made up of 12 members. Ten of these members come from various disciplines of the genius and two come from the field of the communications. The Brazil, 8th world economic power in 2005, constitutes a destination of choice for the exporters.

Anecdotes in Malaysia

The delegation “STF - Malaysia 2005” knew some of the most important mandates in its history. In another order of ideas, she in particular saw herself invited to play the golf with several Malaysian ministers and supper with the palate of the sultan of Johor, a province of the south of Malaysia one of most powerful of the country of the South-East Asia.

Large partners

For the delegation 2005, it is thanks to the collaboration of Environnement Canada (principal partner), just as Economic development Canada and the Université of Sherbrooke, the group had as a task to represent two companies and their university.

The first company, Landis International, are the American northern number one manufacture sale of machinery for Orthopédie and Cordonnerie. The members of the group had here the task to carry out a study of the Malaysian market in addition to presenting its products.

The second company, OLEOTEK, are a collegial Center of technology transfer in Oléochimie industrial of the area of Thetford Mines in the search of partnerships with the Malaysian companies, Malaysia being the first producer of palm oil in the world.

Within the framework of the opening of the festivities of the 15th birthday of the group in 2005, the delegation introduced the members and the destination of the delegation 2006 in addition to having her results of her delegation and the evolution of the project through the years.
