Engine of workflow

A driving of workflow is a software device making it possible to carry out authorities of workflow (the sequence of the activities describes by the definition of process of workflow).

The WfMC introduces a nuance with a management system of workflow which is a software which can be made up of one or more engines of workflow and of which the goal is to create, to manage and carry out authorities of workflow. This system manages, in addition to the execution itself, the definitions of process, makes it possible to be interfaced with tools of administration, tools of follow-up, customer applications or other management systems of workflow (cf Modèle of reference of Workflow).

Such a system is able to charge in memory one or more definitions of process of workflow. On request of the user, a process can be started ( instancié ). The system will follow the advance described by the process and will present the activities to be realized with the various actors of the workflow.
