Enge IJssel

The Enge IJssel (or narrow IJssel ) is small a Rivière Dutchwoman of the province of Utrecht. Its length is of 4,25 km.

Enge IJssel crosses the Lopikerwaard. It forms the continuation of the Kromme IJssel towards the west, starting from the locality of the Klaphek . Historically, it is the place where the Dutch IJssel was connected to the Lek. Then, the river passes to Lopikerkapel and Uitweg, where it becomes the Lopikerwetering.
