Endosperme

The endosperme is a vegetable Tissu of nutritive reserves in the Graine of the Gymnospermes or the Préspermaphytes. It extends from the proteinic Assise (Couche with aleurone) to the heart of the grain. It comes from the female differentiation of the Gamétophyte following the Fécondation. It is Haploïde, and is thus genetically dissimilar of the plant-mother.

It makes think of the Albumen Triploïde of the Angiospermes since they have the same function. Moreover, in certain collections, one can still find the use of endosperme or endosperme triploid in the place of Albumen. English endosperm indicates French endosperm besides, from where frequent confusions.
