Endocrinology

The endocrinology is the science which studies the Hormone S. Its name means: the science ( logos ) of secretion ( crine ) intern ( endo ). She studies very many physiological phenomena, because the hormones intervene in many functions at all the organizations of which the man:
- the Nutrition:
- with regulating hormones of the glycemia like the Insulin and the Glucagon,
- the Leptine which controls the reserves of greases in the organization,
- the Ghréline which stimulates the appetite, and the PYY-36 which gives a feeling of satiety during several hours.
- the growth, with the various growth hormones.
- reproduction: the Puberty, but also menstrual cycles of the woman, the Pregnancy and the Lactation (manufacture of milk).
- body temperature control, with the thyroid hormones.
- regulation of the circadian cycles with the Mélatonine.
At some other animal species, the hormones still have other effects: change of sex in certain fish, behavioral change at the Bee S, the moult in certain insects (controlled by the Ecdysone)…
The Hormone S are a means for our body of communicating information through all the organization, grace mainly to Molécule S transported by the Sang.
