Endemol
Endemol is a group of televisual production which was created in 1994 by fusion of two Dutch companies: Joop van den Ende Producties and John de Mol Produkties.
Since its creation, Endemol continues an aggressive international expansion policy and repurchased production companies in more than twenty country. Joop van den Ende leaves the group in 1998 to repurchase live division entertainment and to create of it an independent company only devoted to the live performance: Training course Entertainment. In 2000, Endemol was absorbed by the Spanish giant of telecommunications Telefónica which took 75% of the capital of the company for nearly 5,5 billion euros. In December 2003, following the nomination by Telefónica of Joaquin Agut Bonsfills at the general position of director of the group, John de Mol resigns of its creative position of director.
The January 22nd 2007, Telefonica announces that John de Mol and Disney are on the point of repurchasing the share of 75% of Telefonica in Endemol
